It was Stitch n' Pitch Night at Safeco

Baseball and knitting are two activities that you might not automatically associate with one another. But if you happened to turn on the Mariners-Royals game last night and noticed a bunch of people in the stands knitting, you weren't imagining things. The knitters were all there for the Mariners' annual Stitch n' Pitch Night, where fans were encouraged to bring their knitting, quilting and stitching projects to work on during the game.

Debbie Macomber, the bestselling author nown for her Blossom Street series about women who knit, threw out the first pitch and autographed books throughout the night.
