The Jacksonville Suns are changing their name to the Jumbo Shrimp

Imagine: You wake up, stretch your arms and gaze out the window, expectantly waiting for the sun's golden rays to shine down upon you. What greets you instead is a giant, delicious, buttery jumbo shrimp smiling at you, begging to be devoured. 
While this tantalizing scenario sadly will never play out in real life, the Double-A affiliate of the Marlins is making it happen on the ballfield. Known as the Jacksonville Suns since 1962 -- save for a short period when they were the Expos from 1985-90 -- the team announced on Wednesday that they will be known as the Jumbo Shrimp next season.

Stare into the ferocious eyes of that fightin' J-shaped (for Jacksonville) shrimp, and tell me you don't feel the passion of "Bold City." 
Of course, this brings up so many questions. Namely: 
- Will the parent club specifically bring in players named Bubba or Gump? (For the record: Eight players with the name "Bubba" have reached the Majors, while the closest Major Leaguer we have for Gump are Randy and Dave Gumpert.)
- Does this mean there is a "shrimp alert" constantly in effect? 
- Will hot dogs now come topped not with relish or mustard, but delicious popcorn shrimp?  
With the Minor League season not starting for another five months, we'll have plenty of time to ponder these philosophical questions. Click here to check out all the new logos and uniforms that will grace the ballfield next spring.
