J.C. Romero batting 1.000 ... in getting cut

J.C. Romero was released by the Yankees Monday, making them the third team in six weeks to let go of the veteran reliever. The Phillies cut Romero on June 24 and the Nats followed suit on July 14.

The lefty went Don Corleone on the Yanks, telling them to call him up from Triple-A or release him. As it turns out, this was an offer that the Yanks could, in fact, refuse.

Unfortunately for Romero, the market for players looking to be signed and cut within two weeks may be small.
