J.J. Hardy's ground ball became a double thanks to a giant hop off the third-base bag

At first, J.J. Hardy's fourth-inning at-bat against the Twins on Monday night didn't seem particularly impressive. Facing Minnesota starter Kyle Gibson, Hardy chopped one softly down the third-base line. Miguel Sanó easily got behind the ball, and it looked like an easy out.
Ah, but that was exactly what Hardy wanted them to think:

Alas, the Orioles would go on to lose, 14-7, presumably because the rest of the lineup's aim wasn't quite as good.
