Juan Soto crushed a three-run home run ... until it was robbed by the Tokyo Dome roof

The MLB All-Stars picked up their first win in the Japan All-Star Series on Sunday with a 7-3 victory over Samurai Japan. They took the lead for good in the fifth inning, opening up a 5-1 lead thanks to a three-run homer from Yadier Molina, who had an amazing day all around.
But, they nearly broke the game open an inning earlier when Juan Soto came to the plate with two on and one out. After the announcers warned of his opposite-field power, he blasted what looked like a no-doubt home run to his pull side. However, doubt appeared in the form of the Tokyo Dome roof:

Any ball that hits the roof gets played as it falls, so Soto's apparent game-altering home run wound up as a harmless flyout to end the inning.
This wasn't Soto's first encounter with the Tokyo Dome roof. Just three days prior, Soto appeared to have hit an inning-ending popup to shallow right field. Instead it hit the roof and turned into an RBI double:
