Kenny Lofton threw out the first pitch of Game 1, but not before he took a quick selfie

Don't worry: Thanks to the generosity of one lucky Clevelander at the airport, Kenny Lofton did indeed make it to Progressive Field in time to throw out the first pitch before World Series Game 1.
But after going through such an ordeal just to get out to the mound, Lofton wanted to take a second to soak in the moment -- the atmosphere, the roar of the sellout crowd, the return of the Fall Classic to Cleveland for the first time in almost 20 years. So, naturally, he took a selfie:

No doubt inspired by Lofton's photography, Cleveland rode six shutout innings from Corey Kluber to a 6-0 win in Game 1. Who will be the next Indians legend to make first-pitch history? Tune in to Game 2 to find out (7 p.m. ET game time on FOX, 6 p.m. pregame show on FS1).
