The bond between a pitcher and catcher is crucial. Hand-eye coordination, mental signals, focus and teamwork are all central elements to a successful battery on the diamond.
Brewers reliever Corey Knebel made his first All-Star Game last season, racking up 39 saves and 126 strikeouts along the way. He and catcher Stephen Vogt forged a strong bond, as pitchers and catchers do when things go well. Their bond has clearly extended beyond the diamond, judging by this amazing photograph Knebel shared of his young daughter and her babysitter for Monday evening, Mr. Vogt:

He's definitely one of the "cool" babysitters.
