Kris Bryant accepted his NL MVP honor in a batting cage because the work NEVER stops

Entering Thursday's BBWAA Most Valuable Player Award announcements, Kris Bryant already had a mantle full of trophies. He was College Player of the Year in 2013, Minor League Player of the Year in 2014 and 2015 National League Rookie of the Year in his first season with the Cubs. So, of course, OF COURSE, he was voted the NL MVP:

He also led the NL in runs (121) and WAR (7.7) and topped all third basemen with a .939 OPS. All of this was surely helped by his historic 5-for-5 game back in June -- when he hit three dingers, two doubles and set a club record with 16 total bases. 

Not to mention the fact that his friendship with Anthony Rizzo blossomed and, while fielding the final out of the World Series, he flashed that beautiful Kris Bryant smile:

Yet still, as you can see in the main video, Bryant accepted his honor while sitting inside his dad's batting cage (the place he learned to hit as a kid). Because the work never stops and next year he plans on winning the MMVP (Most Mostest Valuable Player):
