Landon Donovan showed the Padres a highlight of his 1-year-old son's (adorable) pitching skills
Retired U.S. soccer star Landon Donovan knows a thing or two about talent. After all, he's considered one of, if not the best American men's soccer players to play the game.
Donovan, probably comfortably enjoying his Saturday night at home in Southern California, was watching the Padres' 2-1 win over the Giants and saw fit to throw his 1-year-old son, Talon, into the mix as potential bullpen help for the evening:
The Padres, who won Saturday's game behind a strong performance by Jhoulys Chacin, didn't quite need young Talon's services on the night ... but in the future? Maybe:
Looks like we had tonight covered. Talon would be an adorable addition to the bullpen though https://t.co/Jh23ajCFeu- San Diego Padres (@Padres) April 9, 2017
We'd have to agree -- Talon Donovan does sound like a pretty great name for a shutdown reliever, doesn't it?
