Before his final exit, Mariano Rivera left a message in the Fenway Park bullpen

It was simple. It was perfect.

In return for the gifts, tribute video and poem Mariano Rivera received from Red Sox Nation on Sunday night, the closer scrawled a lasting message on the inside of the Fenway Park bullpen. 

Last to wear #42.

He didn't get to pitch during his final regular-season game in Boston, but this will probably do for Sox fans (forever).
