Starting Nine: Hollywood Ending

Many things are happening -- on Cut4, in baseball and out there in the rest of the world. Here are nine you need to know about today.

1. The Dodgers and the Yankees have a storied rivalry, and on Tuesday night, their matchup lived up to that history. With one out left in the bottom of the ninth, Mark Ellis slapped a single over Derek Jeter's head to score Andre Ethier from second and take the game for LA -- in walk-off fashion:

2. The Red Sox traded for 2007 Cy Young Award Winner Jake Peavy in a three-team deal that included the White Sox and the Tigers. Boston trails Tampa Bay Rays by only a half-game in the AL East.

3. Did you see Jonathan Villar's straight steal of home? You didn't!? Hurry! Click here! You don't want to be that guy who didn't see it:

4. So, there's this guy who plays for the NL Central-leading Pirates, and he's crazy good. His name is Andrew McCutchen. Have you heard of him? Check out his incredible diving catch from last night's matchup against the Cardinals.

5. Oh, and then they walked off, too.

6. This is either Chad Qualls' audition to become a Hollywood stuntman, or he accidentally fell on his face. You be the judge:

7. Baseball hero Brian Wilson is returning to the mound ... for the Los Angeles Dodgers. While Giants fans aren't happy to hear that news, we sure are -- because it means we get more crazy facial hair.

8. You'd better hurry up. The Phanatic is waiting and he won't let you make him late. No sirree -- he's got places to go and people to see.

9. On September 24, Nirvana's third and final studio album, In Utero, will be reissued along with more than 70 rare or previously unreleased bonus tracks.
