Wisconsin Little Leaguer racks up three hits and scores three runs ... while tossing a perfect game
Little Leaguer throws perfect game, gets three hits
Ah, August. A time of seemingly endless summer heat, back-to-school commercials, and of course, a full month of Little League World Series awesomeness. The boys of summer gave us the first magical moment of 2015 on Monday courtesy of the Great Lakes Regional, where Burlington, Wis., pitcher Markus Thomsen went 3-for-3 with three runs scored in a 10-0 win over the team from Olney, Ill.
Oh, and did we mention he threw a perfect game? Yeah, he threw a perfect game:
PERFECT GAME! Wisconsin's Markus Thomsen has a day to remember! #LLWS http://t.co/Gnjj4iZcZu

The game was called after five innings because of the 10-run mercy rule, but Thomsen still managed to strike out nine to go with two singles, a double and an RBI. You can catch the full highlights -- including some particularly nasty breaking balls -- at the Little League website.
