Marlins raise money for charity at annual Fish 'n Chips event
Although the Marlins didn't have a game on Thursday, Marlins Park was still buzzing with players, coaches and celebrities.
All were on hand for a charity event -- National ID Recovery Fish 'n Chips – A Night of Legends. The night featured poker, roulette and craps tables, as well as a silent auction.
"Its all for charity," said Alfredo Mesa, Executive Director of the Marlins Foundation. "Tonight all the money will be raised for our baseball initiatives, mainly our charity partners -- the Boys and Girls club of Miami Dade-County, and our Marlins RBI program."
