Marlon Anderson, the Dodgers and back-to-back-to-back-to-back ninth-inning homers

Home runs are fun. Back-to-back-to-back homers? Even more fun. 
What about back-to-back-to-back-to-back home runs, in the bottom of the ninth, to erase a 9-5 deficit against a division rival?
That was the scene at Dodger Stadium on Sept. 18, 2006, when a quartet of Dodgers stepped up to the plate to do something for only the fourth time in league history (to that point, at least).
After Jeff Kent and J.D. Drew sent a pair of Jon Adkins offerings deep into the Los Angeles skyline, Trevor Hoffman was summoned from the bullpen and ... well, he suffered the same fate. Russell Martin clubbed a dinger to left field, which was followed by a game-tying blast from Marlon Anderson -- who just so happens to celebrate his 43rd birthday today:

That's quite a well-deserved celebration by Mr. Anderson, isn't it? As seen in the full clip atop this post, one inning later Nomar Garciaparra crushed a walk-off to give the Dodgers a ridiculous 11-10 win. 
Oh, and a fun fact from this game? The Padres' leadoff man that night was none other than current Dodgers manager Dave Roberts.
Everything comes full circle sometimes.
