Matt Carpenter hits ANOTHER home run, may be possessed by ghost of Stan Musial
It's October, so Matt Carpenter is raking
Matt Carpenter is off to one of the most impressive postseason starts we've seen in quite some time.
In Game 1 of the NLDS against Clayton Kershaw and the Dodgers, Carpenter went 2-for-5 with a home run, a double and four RBIs:
Game 2 saw another two-hit performance from Carpenter, who doubled to lead off the sixth and homered in the eighth to even the score at two runs apiece.
You'll never guess what Carpenter did in Game 3. Yup, he homered again:
He also doubled in the seventh to make his start to the 2014 postseason an historic one:
Matt Carpenter is the 1st player in MLB postseason history with a HR & a 2B in 3 straight games

Carpenter's been so good that Dodgers manager Don Mattingly suggested that he might be possessed by the ghost of Stan Musial.
The Cards held on to win 3-1, in Game 3, so it will be win or go home for the Dodgers on Tuesday. At least Carpenter can't homer again, right? RIGHT?!
