Max Scherzer shouted out a young fan with matching eyes who cheered him to victory

Max Scherzer looked to be in tip-top shape for the postseason during the Nationals' 3-2 win on Sunday against the Mets. He earned the victory with six innings of one-run ball, striking out 10 batters and allowing just three hits.
It's hardly a shock to see Scherzer pitch well, but perhaps he was given extra motivation by one young fan in the stands. Although he was playing in enemy territory at Citi Field, this kid was there for his idol:

Scherzer has always been a friend to those who also have multi-colored eyes (even dogs), so it's awesome to see him continue these bonds with more fans like this kid. That's a role model, for sure.
