Meet Tripp, the Nats superfan one usher called a 'psychotic weirdo'
Ladies and gentlemen, introducing Tripp -- the self-proclaimed mayor of Natstown. A season-ticket holder since 2006, Tripp's typical gameday attire ranges from a subtle fuzzy top hat to a full red bodysuit. People are often surprised to learn that this superfan, who one usher referred to a "psychotic weirdo" -- in a good way -- is actually a lawyer with a relatively normal life outside of Nationals Park.
Rarely missing a game, Tripp has choreographed various dances to the songs played at the stadium. His most renowned performance is for KC and the Sunshine Band's "Boogie Shoes," which he demonstrates in the video above. The dance has caught on with many Nationals Park regulars, and Tripp's whole section sometimes joins in.
Tripp's antics and dedication have earned him a Tripp Fan Club page on Facebook (started by two Nats Park ball girls), but there is is still at least one item remaining on his bucket list: He's yet to be named the official Fan of the Game.
