Viral Internet memes capture the hearts (and social media attention spans) of everyone. Baseball players are no exception, as we've seen with the #MannequinChallenge on numerous occasions in recent months. 
Enter the #SaltBae. To those unaware, that name refers to the stylistic flourish of Turkish chef Nusret Gökçe, who dusted off a particularly scrumptious-looking steak with a pinch of salt in an Instagram post that has since hit the strasosphere of virality. 
On Friday, Rangers outfielder Carlos Gómez -- you know, the guy who bids goodnight to his Instagram followers in Grinch-themed pajamas when he isn't bat-flipping to his heart's content -- found himself with a cup of tea, a sugar packet and an irresistible urge to pay homage:
