Men on a mission. With a goat.

The Curse of the Bambino was broken in 2004 after 86 years, and the White Sox won the World Series a year later.

The Cubs have had no such luck, but some are trying to alter fate in a rather unique way.

Trying to end The Curse of the Billy Goat, six men will travel on foot from the team's Spring Training location at Hohokam Park in Mesa, Ariz., straight up to Wrigley Field in Chi-Town. The plan is to arrive on May 18 after roughly 1,900 miles -- 25 per day -- in fewer than two months.

Oh, yeah ... they're carrying a goat with them!

The animal is named "Wrigley" (how apropos), the cart they'll be towing it on is decked out in Cubs gear and the excursion is designed to raise money for cancer research. And you can apparently buy goats on Craigslist for $60 dollars. Who knew?
