We've seen the future and it's basically just Michael Conforto hosing runners at the plate

Mets propsect hoses runner at plate in Futures Game

If 2015 is "The Year of the Prospect," then few teams (if any) know that better than the Mets. Thor's been dropping his hammer left and right as Noah Syndergaard gets it done on the hill and at the dish. Fellow Mets rookie pitcher Steven Matz followed suit with a debut gem of his own.

On Sunday, the 2015 SiriusXM Futures Game offered fans a glimpse into MLB's crystal ball as the stars of tomorrow faced off at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati. It also offered Michael Conforto a chance to get in on the action.

The third-ranked prospect in the Mets system was playing left field for the U.S. team when Ozhaino Albies singled through the left side. World Futures second baseman Ketel Marte tried to score from second and learned first-hand why Conforto has a 50 scouting grade on that right arm:

As if that wasn't impressive enough, Conforto went 2-for-2 at the plate with a run scored. Now if he could just toss 6 2/3 innings of shutout ball, maybe he'd be on par with the rest of the Mets prospects.
