Miguel Cabrera celebrates Ryan Raburn's homer by throwing gum at him

If you're a ballplayer returning to face a former team, you may not know what kind of reception to expect. But if you're Tigers-turned-Indians outfielder Ryan Raburn (and you have the audacity to disrupt a Jose Alvarez no-hitter with a home run), you probably have a pretty good idea of what's in store for you.

As Raburn rounded third, one-man welcoming committee Miguel Cabrera playfully threw some chewed gum at his former teammate. Yuck, but well played. If it's completely socially acceptable for wedding guests pelt the bride and groom with rice, can we make this a tradition, too?

By the way, Miggy isn't alone in his apparent oral fixation. Between umpire Jordan Baker's off-putting outfield ritual and Cliff Pennington's stylish postgame headwear, it's been an eventful two weeks for gum across Major League Baseball.
