Military family joins Cardinals broadcast where Missouri National Guard was streaming game overseas

Friday night at Busch Stadium, there was more than just a game going on. Throughout the evening, the Cardinals broadcast paid tribute to U.S. military, inviting members of the Missouri National Guard currently serving in Qatar to watch Friday's game against the Mets.
Specialist Kayla Seymour, wife of Sergeant Jeremy Seymour, took a few moments to do an interview from the broadcast booth where she could talk to her husband while he and others were streaming the game overseas.

Sergeant Seymour said there was a slight delay to watch the Cardinals play, but he was still able to enjoy the telecast as his favorite team took on the Mets.
Jeremy has been deployed since December, a month after the couple was married, and they are expecting a child next week. He hopes to be back in time for the birth of their baby girl, but once 10 days pass, he will have to report back to Qatar.
"I just take it day by day and talking to Kayla everyday helps out," he said. "Everybody is here keeping it in check and having a good time."
The Cardinals fell to New York, 6-5, but it was fantastic to see so much support for our men and women in the military and we thank them for their service.
