Minute Maid Park went to the dogs on Sunday
The Astros held Dog Day on Sunday at Minute Maid Park.
“It is great,” Houston fan Janet Otto said. “I think we need more activities that are dog-friendly, so we don't have to leave them at home. I feel guilty enough working all day, and then having to come home to her.”
Fans could purchase a special ticket for their pup in Bullpen Box seats for dogs up to 80 pounds or in the Conoco Alley for dogs over 80 pounds. Before the game, dogs and their owners participated in a parade around the warning track and a costume contest.
“I brought them out specifically for the dog parade, and to show them around,” Scott Macha said. “We tried to [take pictures] but everything happened so fast.”
