MLB expands its rosters in September, meaning that young stars of the future -- like Rangers third baseman Joey Gallo and Dodgers shortstop Corey Seager -- can get some big-league at-bats down the stretch. Mostly, though, the roster expansion just means that we get more Muni.
The Blue Jays wisely used one of their September callups to summon infielder Munenori Kawasaki from Triple-A Buffalo. Kawasaki has developed a bit of a cult following over his four years in MLB, mostly due to his entertaining interviews and mesmerizing dance moves.
On Sunday, Kawasaki spoke with Barry Davis of Sportsnet Canada ahead of the Blue Jays' 10-4 win over the Orioles. He. Did. Not. Disappoint.
The interview features two major plot points:
1. Muni showing off his muscles that he built using what he calls, "Japanese noodle power."
2. Muni telling a joke about buffaloes.
