Nick Markakis fouled off a pitch and broke a window, then ended up winning the game
The good folks at Great American Ball Park are probably not all that thrilled with Nick Markakis. He scored what ended up being the winning run of the Braves' 11-inning, 5-4 win over the Reds on Tuesday night, and three innings prior, he did this:
He fouled off a pitch from Jumbo Diaz and, in a bit of classic schoolyard hijinks, broke a window.
Scoring the winning run for the visiting team won't endear you to Cincinnati fans, but it's part of the game. And breaking a window on a foul is clearly an accident.
