Francisco Pena, best son ever, promised his mom he'd hit her a homer -- so he clubbed two

What did you get your mom for Mother's Day? Maybe a thoughtful greeting card with a gift certificate for her favorite restaurant. Or, perhaps treating her to an afternoon at the ballpark is in order. 
Whatever you did for Mom is probably great, so kudos to you for being such a wonderful child. But, unfortunately for you (and everybody, really), the Orioles' Francisco Peña one-upped you in Baltimore's 4-3 loss to the Royals on Saturday.
You see, Pena (the son of longtime MLB player and current Yankees coach Tony Pena) promised his mom, Amaris, that he'd hit her a home run on Saturday. Called up recently by the O's, he entered Saturday's contest with just one home run in his career. 
Naturally, then, Pena proceeded to hit one in the third inning off Nathan Karns. He also hit one two innings later. 

Two homers for Mom, after essentially dedicating his performance to her. For good measure, Pena also sent her more love once he returned to the dugout:

With Saturday's feat, Pena joins the Pirates' Josh Harrison as ballplayers to recently hit homers for their mothers and, by extension, make the rest of us look ... just slightly less amazing.
