Orlando Arcia is your new, unlikely postseason king
It seemingly happens every October.
What we mean is: An unlikely player stepping up big-time once the calendar turns to October.
The Brewers shortstop hit .236/.268/.307 in 119 regular-season games this year -- putting him way below average among other hitters in the league. He hit three homers. He had a -0.1 WAR. He has a combined 2.2 WAR in his three big league seasons.
But now, ladies and gentlemen, it is autumn. The time of falling leaves and flying dingers -- and Orlando Arcia is a baseball god. The 24-year-old crushed a two-run homer in the Brewers' 4-0 NLCS Game 3 win on Monday night.
He now has three home runs (yes, the same amount he had during the regular season; albeit in just six games), four RBIs and is already one of the best sluggers in Brewers playoff history. Up there with Prince Fielder and Paul Molitor.
