Padres reporter falls victim to second Gatorade bath in one week
The otherwise glamorous life of a sideline reporter does come with one occupational hazard: there's a very good chance you'll find yourself used as a human Gatorade shield.
Just ask Padres reporter Kelly Crull. Jesus Guzman ended Friday's game in the 17th inning with a walk-off single -- the first of his career -- and he saw the Gatorade coming. In a postgame interview with Crull, he bear-hugged her into absorbing the brunt of his teammates' victory bath.
In case you missed it, this isn't Crull's first time at the liquid rodeo. Look what happened after Will Venable's own walk-off single on Wednesday:
If we've learned anything from the case of Nats reporter Julie Alexandria, it's that Gatorade baths tend to come in twos. Hopefully, this means that Crull has paid her dues -- and that her dry-cleaning bill won't be getting any bigger.
