Padres make 11th-hour trade for Craig Kimbrel, also reunite the Uptons

We're going to assume Padres GM A.J. Preller marathoned "Arrested Development" this weekend, because he seemed to have learned a very important lesson from Michael Bluth:

Yes, family, slightly more important than breakfast, is probably the reason the Padres reportedly traded Carlos Quentin, Cameron Maybin, a draft pick and two prospects for the Braves' Craig Kimbrel and Melvin Upton Jr. That's right, the "Upton here, Upton here" jokes are still good to go. 

That's quite an Opening Night curveball. It's as incredible as, well … a curveball. Kimbrel's, specifically:
