Phillies Wives take part in backpack drop-off for local youth
School is back in session, and the Phillies did their part to ring in the academic year on Tuesday.
On behalf of the Phillies Wives, Stephanie Kendrick, Liz Pierre and team staff helped more than 45 inner city children get back in the school spirit at the People's Emergency Center. The crew dropped off backpacks, which were chock full of back-to-school supplies and Phillies gear.
The People’s Emergency Center, located in downtown Philadelphia, provides both emergency and transitional housing for up to 50 families at any given time.
