Photo of the Night: Philly's Taney Dragons have some big league fans

Throughout their electric and memorable run in the Little League World Series, the Taney Dragons and their star pitcher Mo'ne Davis earned a lot of supporters within Major League Baseball. In August, the Dragons were honored at Citizens Bank Park in their hometown of Philadelphia:

And Davis, herself, has earned countless awards in the months since.

On Friday, at the Philadelphia Sports Writers Association's annual awards banquet, the Dragons again took home the hardware. This time, the team won the PSWA's Team of the Year Award -- and they were understandably excited:

Yep -- the team earned a warm welcome from some of their biggest MLB fans, including Phillies manager Ryne Sandberg, general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. and senior advisor Charlie Manuel.

The Dragons weren't the only local baseball players to earn awards from the Association. Other winners included Native Son Award winner Todd Frazier of the Reds (who grew up in Toms River, N.J.) and Outstanding Pro Athlete of the Year Mike Trout of the Angels (who hails from Millville, N.J.).
