Pinball wizard Mike Morin makes insane catch on popup that bounces off two of his teammates
Pitchers aren't usually known for their defense, Mike Morin is looking to buck that trend by flashing some serious leather. The rookie reliever came on to pitch the last two outs of the eighth inning of Sunday's matinee against the Astros.
With one on and one out, Morin sat fellow rookie George Springer down on strikes before facing another rookie in 'Stros first baseman Jon Singleton. Morin and the Angels looked to be out of the inning when he induced a popup, but he had to lay out and make a spectacular catch after the ball ricocheted off of basically the whole right side of the infield.
