Possum Delay! No seriously, a possum halted play during a Minor League game

The Quad City River Bandits were taking on the Clinton LumberKings at Modern Woodmen Park on Wednesday. In the bottom of the fifth inning, River Bandits third baseman Marc Wik hit a double down the left-field line, shortstop Thomas Lindauer came up to the plate and then, POSSUM:

As you can see, the little guy put up a pretty good fight (mostly because nobody has experience catching possums at baseball games).

Finally, some dude/possum expert took control of the situation and brought the critter off the field. Hopefully it gets back on its feet and up to a big league game soon.
