Rangers Nation declares Arlington a baseball town
Rangers Nation has declared Arlington, TX, an official Baseball Town with a population of 3,460,280.
The Rangers have seen many attendance records broken over the last four seasons, largely due to the team's on-field success. But a certain former Ranger (who shall remain nameless) also raised some questions about the fans' commitment.
Boston's Mike Napoli, who made his return to Texas this weekend, stated that he believes Arlington is a great baseball town.
"It takes guts and dedication for fans to sell out the ballpark when it's 110 degree weather," Napoli explained. "This is a great sports city and they have some of the best fans here."
Judging by Napoli's tweet before the series started in Texas, he was very excited to see his former fans -- many of whom still cheer for him.
The Rangers currently have baseball's fifth-highest per-game attendance average at 38,179. As Texas' summer weather begins to arrive, Rangers Nation will be put to the real test.
