Robinson Cano reeled Nelson Cruz into the dugout because friendship is always in midseason form

Mariners designated hitter Nelson Cruz isn't exactly known for his ability to stretch singles into doubles. But that's exactly what the 36-year-old did in the seventh inning of Wednesday's Cactus League game against the Angels.
After Cruz busted to second and slid to beat the tag, manager Scott Servais concluded that was enough exertion for his veteran slugger in a Spring Training game and sent in the pinch-runner. His teammate Robinson Cano couldn't wait to see his buddy again:

Cano didn't stop at just imploring his fellow veteran to make haste to his side in the Seattle dugout. When his buddy arrived, the duo joined arm-in-arm and practically skipped down the dugout steps together. While it may be Spring Training for everyone else, Cano and Cruz's friendship is already in midseason form.
