Ryan Zimmerman responded to getting robbed by homering in his next at-bat

With Ryan Zimmerman fresh off a tremendous April that saw him win NL Player of the Month for the first time in his career, teams are desperate to find any way to get him out. He showed no signs of slowing down during the first game of the Nationals' series against the Phillies on Friday night, going deep for the 12th time in 2017. Then, on Saturday night against the Phillies, it looked as if Zimmerman was about to add to his league-leading home run total. He connected on an offering from Vince Velasquez that went a long way to deep center field ...
... only to see Odúbel Herrera completely rob him. It was unclear if the drive was going to head over the fence or not, but either way, the Phillies dodged a bullet. So with an RBI opportunity staring him in the face during his next at-bat thanks to Daniel Murphy's double, Zimmerman was not at all interested in a repeat performance. He crushed Velasquez's second pitch out of sight, far over the left-center-field wall at Citizens Bank Park.
Herrera can't steal 'em all. Zimmerman promptly followed up his homer by smacking an RBI double in the sixth inning to increase the Nationals' lead. They ended up winning, 6-2. Teams should take warning. When Zimmerman gets robbed, he doesn't get upset. He just gets angry.
