Scooter Gennett and the Brewers are (literally) on fire

The red-hot Brewers have won seven of their last 10 games and even set a franchise record for the most wins through the first half of the season, starting the 2014 campaign with a 49-32 tally. On Thursday night, the Brew Crew continued their hot streak, defeating the Rockies 7-4 in what was the club's fourth consecutive victory over Colorado.

Helping in that effort was infielder Scooter Gennett, who homered for the second consecutive night when he got a pinch-hit opportunity in the home half of the eighth. Some might say he was "heating up" ...

During the post-game interview, Gennett was literally heating up when the antics of his teammates nearly lit his foot on fire.

Luckily for all parties involved, there was a cooler nearby that helped quell the flames in a hurry.

Still, the Brewers are five and a half games up on the Cardinals in the NL Central and could see Jonathan Lucroy, Carlos Gomez and other Milwaukee players selected for the All-Star Game roster. It seems that "en fuego" would be an apt description of the Brewers at the moment.
