At 6-foot-8, Marlins right-hander Tayron Guerrero is one of the tallest players in all of baseball, and has likely gone most of his life without much competition when it comes to height. But it's all a matter of context: If the 27-year-old Colombian pitcher had pursued basketball as his sport of choice, his stature would hardly stand out. When NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal threw out the ceremonial first pitch at a recent Marlins home game, Guerrero got a dose of this reality:
