Sharknado's Ian Ziering threw out the first pitch for the Mets

The world got to know Ian Ziering when he starred as Steve in Beverly Hills 90210, but the Internet fell in love with him when he used a chainsaw to cut through a shark from the inside out in Syfy's made-for-TV movie, Sharknado. Ziering is set to save New York from a similar weather phenomenon in the upcoming sequel Sharknado 2: The Second One.

In advance of his surely spectacular cinematic performance, Ziering was on hand at New York's Citi Field to throw out a ceremonial first pitch for the Mets.

Sadly (or thankfully, depending on your taste in film) Tara Reid didn't make a cameo. She's in Sharknado 2, though, so you can rest easy.
