Sneaky Cubs fan catches Braves home run in the bleachers, throws back different ball

Clever Cubs fan swaps out visiting home run ball

The unofficial rule of the Wrigley Field bleachers is that all home run balls from the visiting team must be thrown back onto the field. Fans who do not follow this unofficial rule usually face some grief at the hands of their fellow bleacher residents.

Unless they're as clever as this guy:

That fan was at Saturday's Braves-Cubs game and managed to trick the entire section into thinking he'd thrown Atlanta third baseman Chris Johnson's dinger back out onto the field.

In fact, if you look closely, you'll see the fan swap out the ball for another one in his pocket before launching it toward the diamond. Very, very sneaky.

The fan, Ken Keiffer, lives nearby Wrigley Field and has apparently been pulling this trick for years. His strategy is to come to games during batting practice to catch as many balls as possible, and then he uses one of those as a replacement should he catch a ball in-game.

Feel free to try this one yourself if you're ever at Wrigley Field, but make sure to practice your sleight-of-hand first:
