Sound the alarm! Madison Bumgarner has a ... splinter

As Madison Bumgarner proved during his insane October in which he surrendered just six earned runs in 52 2/3 postseason innings, he's seemingly more than human. Batters can't touch him, pitchers can't pitch to him and celebratory beers are helpless before him. 

But just like the Golden Age Green Lantern, he does have one weakness: wood. As Bumgarner revealed during an interview after being named Sports Illustrated's Sportsman of the Year Award, he has picked up a (gasp!) splinter during the offseason.

But don't worry, Giants fans, it's in his right, non-throwing hand. Which is his third-best extremity -- behind his preferred left arm and the robotic appendage of doom he hides underneath his cap.
