The Angels traded Mike Scioscia's son to the Cubs for Wayne Gretzky's son

The Cubs and Angels announced quite a star-studded trade on Thursday:

Matt Scioscia was chosen by the Angels in the 45th round of the 2011 Draft. He's spent the past three seasons in the Minors, finishing 2013 with the Class-A Inland Empire 66ers and a career .222/.264/.280 batting line.

Meanwhile, Wayne Gretzky's son, Trevor, was also selected in the 2011 Draft, albeit in the 7th round by the Cubs. He owns a career .288/.355/.332 line through two seasons, and also finished last year in Class-A -- playing for the Kane County Cougars.

While it had to be sad to watch his son get traded, at least Scioscia now has an excuse to go hang out with the greatest hockey player in the history of the sport.

I mean, there's always Thanksgiving.
