The Japanese broadcast booth was as astounded by Shohei Ohtani's third home run as everyone else

During Friday night's 13-9 win over the Athletics, Angels designated hitter and pitcher Shohei Ohtani hit his third career home run. It was his longest -- at 449 feet -- and aesthetically best yet.
While the Major Leagues haven't had a pitcher with this kind of power in quite some time, Japanese baseball fans spent the last five years witnessing Ohtani's work at the plate with the Nippon-Ham Fighters. Surely they're used to watching him hit the ball a long way, right?
Wrong. As you can tell from the video above, the Japanese broadcasters were just as awestruck by Ohtani's blast to center field as everyone else on this side of the Pacific Ocean. Just as math might claim to be the universal language, Ohtani's power is proving to be the universal defier of language.
