The kid who caught Yasiel Puig's first homer proved to be a savvy negotiator
Yasiel Puig hit his first big league homer on Tuesday (he later added a second) and, as you'd expect, the Dodgers attempted to retrieve the ball for Puig to keep as a memento. The team's reps found it had ended up in the possession of a young fan who was willing to deal -- but not before some serious negotiating:
"I said, in order for me to give the ball to them, it's a signed bat. And then, since now, I'm saying since it's so difficult, why not just give me a signed bat and a jersey?"
Assuming the exchange went through, Puig got his souvenir back - and possibly found a future agent in the process.
