The old Padres dugout is buried beneath Qualcomm Stadium
Qualcomm Stadium is currently the home of the San Diego Chargers. But from 1968 through 2003, the structure (referred to as Jack Murphy Stadium through 1997) hosted Padres games -- including two World Series, two All-Star Games and this historic moment in human history.
The Padres packed up their bats and gloves and moved into the brand new Petco Park about 15 minutes away after the 2003 season, but at least one reminder of their tenure remains under the bleachers:
