The Twins had to break out their snow plows on Thursday
Ah, baseball season: Hot dogs and beer. Ice cream in those miniature helmets. The boys of summer.
In Minnesota, however, Mother Nature doesn't play by our arbitrary "seasons." And she clearly wasn't ready for a ballgame in Minneapolis on Thursday after dumping six inches of snow on Target Field.
Thankfully, the Twins grounds crew plowed the playing surface and has the stadium ready for Friday's game against the Mets. While the players and fans will probably appreciate that, we've already seen how cool baseball can look in the rain. Baseball in a blizzard could look like a Tim Burton movie.
