The White Sox bring back the mullet for a good cause
If you were at U.S. Cellular Field on Friday night, things seemed a bit off. As Friday night rolled into Saturday morning and after more than seven hours of baseball (and a 25-minute delay), the initial thought is delirium.
Then Adam Dunn walked to the plate late in the second game of the Indians vs. White Sox doubleheader. His image appeared on the jumbotron with flowing, blonde locks down to his shoulders. You rub your eyes and look again. Then it hits you … The mullet is back!
The White Sox celebrated Mullet Night at U.S. Cellular Field on Friday and it wasn't just with Dunn's digitally fashioned hairdo.
The Sox partnered with Great Clips to provide mullets for a cause. Fans could donate $10 for a mullet wig or haircut to benefit the Chicago White Sox Charities and the Ronald McDonald House.
