This bonkers college baseball play at the plate defies logic

This college baseball play at the plate is bonkers

A lot of mental energy is currently being spilled over NCAA basketball with its bracket seedings, monthlong Madness and whatnot. But an equal amount of energy should be spent on this play at the plate during Saturday's Arkansas-Vanderbilt NCAA baseball matchup, attempting to figure out exactly what transpired:

Let's break this down. There is:

1) The popout.

2) The throw to the plate.

3) The first attempted tag.

4) The leaping dodge.

5) The scrambling one-on-one faceoff.

6) The second attempted tag.

7) The second dodge.

8) The dive for home.

9) The dish to the covering pitcher.

10) The tag.

There may have also been some forces at play invisible to the naked eye. That's the only logical explanation.

On top of all that, the play ended the 10th inning. That is more excitement packed into 30 seconds than should be physically possible. There is only one possible reaction to this kind of play at the plate during extra innings of a 7-7 ballgame:
