Tim Anderson loves to eat turkey burgers before every home game

If you saw Tim Anderson in his first two years in high school, you'd probably be pretty excited about his future as a basketball player. Anderson was a star point guard at Hillcrest High School in Tuscaloosa, Ala. and led his team to a state championship as a sophomore. But fate so had it that Anderson would eventually find his way back to the diamond, where he played as a kid, and refocus on baseball -- a decision that, seven years later, is looking pretty good.

After not being drafted out of high school, Anderson burst onto the scene as an amateur player during his sophomore season at East Central Community College, in which he led all junior colleges in batting average (.495), and collected a ridiculous 39 extra-base hits in 53 games. The White Sox selected him 17th overall in the 2013 Draft, and he hasn't looked back since. After a strong rookie campaign in 2016, Anderson signed a six-year extension worth $25 million before the 2017 season.

So what drives the 25-year-old shortstop? What does he like to do when he's not playing on the south side? And most importantly: What is his go-to pre-game meal? Check out the video at the top of the page to find out.
