Toronto fan catches Jason Kipnis' bat, taunts him with it, gives it back
There are some people who shy away from attention -- who, upon seeing the spotlight headed in their direction, duck so as to avoid the ensuing celebrity associated with it. This man is not one of those people.
Indians second baseman Jason Kipnis accidentally let go of his bat during the first inning of Tuesday's game in Toronto, sending it spinning into the stands. While not the rarest of baseball's occurrences, that's still scary whenever it happens. In this particular instance, thankfully, no one was harmed. The fan who caught the bat, Canadian hero that he is, taunted Kipnis with his newly acquired lumber. Of course, polite Canadian that he is, the gentleman subsequently returned said lumber.
